You may have \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ejust one short interview — often around 30 minutes — to demonstrate your research ability, communicate your scientific thinking and convince the panel that you're a strong candidate for the programme and funding.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAnd it often starts with a very short 5-minute presentation.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCandidates are commonly asked to prepare a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003emaximum 3–5 slide presentation, lasting no more than 5 minutes\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, covering their \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eprevious research, key results and\/or motivation for applying\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. The challenge is striking the right balance: \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003etoo little detail can fail to demonstrate your research ability, while too much can overwhelm the panel or force you to rush\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
